The Churches of Kavousi, Crete
A smart young man, a high school Latin student attending a South Carolina Junior Classical League event, asked me about religious feeling in the Greece of today. Specifically, he was curious about how the evident reverence with which people regard their ancient and often pagan past, can live side-by-side with their Christian Faith. I have a few thoughts, or at least anecdotes.
